Schools are navigating a changing landscape of SEND alongside increasing budgetary constraints. I can support in the following areas:

General SENDCO support
The role of a SENDCO can be hugely rewarding alongside feeling overwhelmed and as if you are expected to have a magic wand to wave to create an inclusive learning environment where every member of the school community can thrive! I can help you to navigate the role through supporting with all elements of SENDCO work from discussing individual cases to exploring options for assessment (including small steps assessments) and provision mapping. All schools, whether they have an experienced SENDCO or not, can benefit from a fresh pair of eyes and a new perspective.

Supporting children with complex SEND
With more children with complex SEND receiving their education within mainstream schools, schools are having to adapt and be creative with space and staffing to ensure that all children are given the opportunity to thrive. This presents its own challenges when catering for varying needs within a limited space and upskilling staff to adapt their practice to include children with higher levels of SEND need. Having set up a provision within a mainstream school, I am fully aware of the challenges and involved. I can help you to navigate this through support with timetabling, planning, resourcing and staff training to deliver interventions such as sensory circuits, Attention Autism, sensory stories, amongst others.

SEND and Neurodiversity Awareness
I truly believe that the key to inclusive environments lies in education. To break down barriers and develop empathy, it is essential that all school stakeholders are educated about SEND. I can tailor staff training sessions to suit a school's individual requirements.
As well as educating the staff, I believe that a key ingredient to an inclusive school is in developing informed and empathetic pupils. I can offer educational sessions for all ages from Nursery to Year 13, to foster the development of positive social interactions and support in the development of an environment where all children and young people feel safe, heard and understood by peers and staff alike.
